Easy ways to use Google

Google is a search engine that can search information from the internet. The information that you want to read, already have been in the internet, mostly.

From the internet to retrieve the information in which format you want, it is necessary to know how to use Google properly.

For example, if you have a desire to find out the information such as photos and video files about the actors and the actresses who you like or the news that currently happen in Myanmar, at that time you definitely need to know how to use Google effectively. 

To practice Google, you just need a browser and the internet connection. In this post, all the examples are using Google Chrome. You can learn by using one of the browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Chrome, etc.

Supposedly, We  search Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who is the leader of Our Myanmar. If you search  by typing aung san suu kyi in Google search box, you will find the total internet pages about 8,270,000

If you want to search the information according to the name aung san suu kyi, you must use double quote “ ”. Search by typing “aung san su kyi ” in google search box. You will find the total internet pages about 8,100,000.  

If you want to search the information about  “aung san su kyi”  in only England websites, you might use the keyword location.  If you search by typing  "aung san suu kyi" location: uk,  you will also find the total internet pages about 4,480,000. Sometimes, if you want to search the meaning of unknown English words, you can use the keyword define. For example, you want to know the meaning of acume, you can search by typing define: acumen in Google search box. And then you will find the total internet pages about 8,250,000.

We can also use Google as a calculator. (4+4) * (7-3) = 8 * 4 = 32

For the power of 5 for 2, you can calculate by typing 2^5  in Google search box. You will see the result is 32 

And also calculate by typing 50 % of 30, the result is 15
50 % of 30 = 15

You can search by typing 1 kg in lbs in google search , if you want to use google as a unit converter. You will see 1kg is equal to 2.2lbs. You can also search by changing the other units that you want to know.

We can also search foreign currency exchange in google. For example, if you want to know how many dollars in one hundred England pounds, you can search by typing100 Pounds in USD in Google search box.

We can also know the condition of Nations’ weather in Google. For example, if you want to know the weather of Singapore, you can search by typing weather Singapore in Google search box.

When seeing Myanmar movies, some people want to see the actors and the actresses who they like. For example, if you want to search the internet pages that only include the information about the actress Thet Mon Myint in the website burmeseclassic.com, you can search by typing " Thet Mon Myint” site: burmeseclassic.com in Google search box. You will find the total internet pages about 28,400 in burmeseclassic.com.

If you want to search the ebooks of file type pdf(portable document format) that can be read by computers or phones, you can search by typing filetype:pdf. For example, if you want to search the pdf files about the ebooks Freedom from Fear by Daw Aung San Su Kyi, you can search by typing "aung san suu kyi" "Freedom from Fear" filetype:pdf in google search box. Just type google advanced search in Google search box, and click the first link, it will redirect to the following page http://www.google.com/advanced_search. You can search the information that you want by using Google Advanced Search.
